Never in my wildest dreams did I expect to be hit with depression, that is until I reached peri-menopause. It really did sideline me for some time, in fact it often still does. The difference these days is I really try to not let it overtake my life, or define my life, I try to look at the positives no matter how hard that is.[Tweet “Depression can consume us to the point of isolation and selfishness. @girlsgonestrong #strongwomen”]
I realized that I didn’t want depression to own me; I wanted to have some control over it. This is not an easy task, I may add, but the will to live my life fully again gave me the determination to try all strategies.

This Weeks Podcast
This week on my podcast I interview MYSELF! My fitness career has been driven in direction by the amazing clients and followers that have supported Fit n’ Chips over the years. And recently I have started to focus my attention and education on Over 40 women, especially those struggling through their menopausal phase, because this is what women have asked for and are desperately in need of. This podcast is my story and my reason for doing what I am doing. I hope you enjoy listening to it. Please feel free to leave me feedback or ask questions.
